Albert J. Hatala, of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2022, age 96. Albert was born on July 16, 1926. He was the husband for 53 years of Mary E. Hatala and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Albert graduated from Canonsburg High School and Robert Morris Business School as a CPA. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during World War II in France and Germany where he received the Combat Infantry Badge and a honorable discharge as a Corporal. Albert served in the infantry during the Korean War in Germany and received an honorable discharge as a Sergeant. He worked at Price Waterhouse as a staff auditor and taught an evening school course in taxes at Robert Morris. He worked for several companies as an accounting controller. Albert worked as a controller officer for 32 years for enamel products with Artcraft Industries in McKeesport. He was a volunteer at Ruthfred Lutheran Church as a Sunday school teacher, church council elder and President, Boy Scout Scoutmaster, Junior Achievement Advisor, Bethel Park Library Board of Directors and the Mon Yough Chamber of Commerce President. Friends will be received at Ruthfred Lutheran Church on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. John Vianney Cemetery with Full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ruthfred Lutheran Church, 3401 South Park Road, Bethel Park or Gallagher Hospice, 1370 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA 15017.
