Anita N. (Nicholson) Potocar

Anita N. Potocar (Nicholson), of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 17, 2022, age 92, wife of the late Edward, beloved mother of J. Edward "Jed" Potocar (Lisa) and Heidi Gearhart (Ethan Allen), sister of Joan Esper, grandmother of Kylie, Brent (Faith) & Weston (Irene). Anita was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who helped her husband manage his insurance business. She was a stewardess with TWA and later a quality control inspector who was a world traveler and fluent in Russian. Anita was active in local politics and an avid and experienced fundraiser for non-profit organizations. She was an excellent cook & bread maker who had a unique personality and style and was very charitable to friends and family alike.  Anita was an accomplished ballroom dancer and musician. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pittsburgh Youth Symphony, 600 Penn Ave., Pgh., PA 15222 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 W. 8th St., Erie, PA 16505.
