Arthur M. Brandenburg, of Bethel Park, age 90, passed away on February 17, 2023, beloved husband of the late Sylvia, loving father of Cynthia Webler (Martin), Melanie Ericson (Bruce) and Valarie Suffern (Phil), son the the late Earl and Margaret (Carpenter), brother of Marion Reno (Ralph), Sig Brandenburg (Reba) and Catherine Johnson (Joe), grandfather of Bryan, David, Kristin, Jason, Alicia, Scott, Josh, Trisha and the late Ashley, also great-grandfather of Charlie, Maggie, Sammie and Tyler. Art served as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Army Air Defense and the Army National Guard. He worked at Crucible Steel Research as a Research Engineer and then as Head of Personnel. He was a volunteer Grief Facilitator for the adult group at the Highmark Caring Place for Grieving Children for 15 years. Art was an active member of Bethel Presbyterian Church where he was active in session, personnel committee, Sunday School teacher and a Stephen Minister. He was also active in raising money for the stained glass windows restoration. Art loved traveling to different countries with Sylvia and gardening. He enjoyed golfing and all of the Pittsburgh sports teams. Most of all, Art took pride in helping others. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library. A burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Twp. on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Full Military Honors. A Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 11:00 in Bethel Presbyterian Church .
