Carol P. (Petshot) Ausefski

Carol P. Ausefski (Petshot), of Baldwin, passed on to her heavenly home on Monday, September 22, 2025, preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Sophie Petshot, beloved and loving wife of Andrew for 65 years. She was a devoted and loving mother to Gary (Stephanie) and David (Cindy). The joy of her life was her 3 grandchildren: Kristen Smith (Kyle),  Michelle Doyle (Cullen) and the late Brian. Carol was also the proud great-grandmother to Kolton, Kayden and Caroline. Carol is the sister of David Petshot and the late George. Also many numerous nieces and nephews. She was a lifetime dog lover and will be missed by her precious golden retriever Vallie. 

Carol grew up in Mt. Washington and was a graduate of South Hills High School. Over her lifetime, Carol was employed by the railroad, an orthodontist and also was a real estate agent.

Carol was a devout Christian and lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. Early on, she sang in the choir, and throughout her life was very active in Bible studies and prayer groups. She was known for her kindness, loyalty, and the care she showed to everyone she met. She volunteered for many years serving Meals on Wheels and at Mayview Hospital. Her favorite activities centered around her family. She enjoyed hosting all of all of the holidays up until recently, and especially cherished the yearly family vacation to Hilton Head, SC. 

A Funeral Service wil be held at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in McMurray, PA on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. A brief visitation will take place at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to service.
