Carol A. (Higinbotham) VanSickle

Carol A. VanSickle (Higinbotham) of Upper St. Clair, formerly of Bethel Park, Versailes, KY and   Washington, PA., passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024, age 88, wife of the late Harry D. "Dan" VanSickle, loving mother of Lee A. VanSickle and Lori Barr (Dan), grandmother of Daniel Barr (Emily Wolfson) and Christopher Barr and great-grandmother of Kailee, Declan, Liam, David and Kinzley.

 Carol was a graduate of Maryland Medical Secretarial School. She was a former member of Pittsburgh Mendelssohn Choir and a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. Carol was a former secretary of John McMillan Elementary School in Bethel Park and United Methodist Children's Home in Versailles, KY. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining friends and family and was proud to have her recipes published in the Southern Living Magazine. She never missed anyone's birthday and always included a tea bag in the cards. 

Visitation Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library, PA, where a funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt.
