Clara R. Hegedus (Sicher), of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 (born May 30, 1930), age 95, beloved wife for over 50 years of the late Elmer W. Hegedus, loving mother of Donna Delestienne (George), Laura Kirstein (Gary) Steve Hegedus (Carolyn) and the late Janet Schuster, mother-in-law of Joseph Schuster. She was daughter of Pio and Viola Sicher and was the eldest of six siblings including Dr. Bruno Sicher (Rosemary), Daria Hofbauer (the late Henry), Ermo Sicher (the late Vicky), Nancy McKenna (Patrick) and the late Anna Orr (Thomas). She was known affectionately as "Bee" or "Grammy" and was the proud grandmother of Maura, Cara, Sam, Andy, Denis, Angela, Emily, Matt, Leah, Abby, Calvin, Gabriella, Charles, Anthony, Giovanni and Stefania and great-grandmother of Quinn, Julian, Avery, Barret, Lucy, Benny, Luca, Bruno, Cameron, Esme, Lenny, Enzo, Audrey, Faye, Sylvia, Virginia, Clark, Hank, Elmyra, Camille, Clifford, Winnie and Hobey.
Family and faith were central to Clara's life. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Church and cherished many years spent at Deep Creek Lake with her family. She was known for her "famous" pineapple upside-down cake that she made for any happy occasion.
Friends and family will be received at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (Rt 88), Library, PA, on Monday, August 18 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joan of Arc Church on Tuesday, August 19th at 10:30 a.m. A Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
