David Gerald "Booty" Bonazza

David Gerald "Booty" Bonazza, of Bethel Park, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, age 68, surrounded by family and friends. David was born on November 13, 1957 to the late Davi and June (Lucas) Bonazza.  David grew up in "Coverdale" and enjoyed playing sports in school and loved playing in adult summer softball leagues around Bethel Park.

David started his career in the coal mines after high school and then had a successful 25 year career working for Port Authority of Allegheny County.

David is survived by his sister, Darlene Bonazza Higginbotham and his brother Robert Bonazza; nephew Bruce R. (Mary Anne) Higginbotham, niece Amanda Higginbotham and niece Elley Beatty (fiance Justin McHenry); great nephew Bruce E. Higginbotham, great-niece Brynn Beatty and great-niece Gianna Beatty. David was preceded in death by his aunt, Nellie Bonazza and his brother-in-law, Bruce E. Higginbotham. In addition to his immediate family, David will be deeply missed by his cousin, Lou Bonazza and his family, extended family and close friends. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

David achieved the rank of 3rd degree blackbelt in Tang Soo Do and enjoyed training with his karate friends. David also enjoyed golfing with his brother and friends and supporting his hometown sports teams, especially the Pirates.

Visitation Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Valentine Church (Our Lady of Hope Parish), Bethel Park.
