They say that all good things must end, and today, my good life became a past memory of the Leake family who have come and gone. I hope I left a good impression and treated all with respect. On October 21, 2018, I lost my dear wife of 66 years, Margaret Sankey Leake. Marg was the engine that drove and guided me through through good and bad times. I always told Marg where I was going and I always let her know when I returned. That is why I left a message on our bronze marker which reads "Hey Marg I'm Home". So now you will find me next to Marg forever. Sadly, I leave behind my daughters, Linda L. Brant, Deborah G. (David) Lewandowski, son, Donald C. Leake II (Lisa Long Leake) and (Diane Sayre Leake), grandchildren David R. (Melisa) Lewandowski, Leah Nicole ((Andrew) Tatgenhorst, Kristen Emily (Mike) Wood, Benjamin (Stephie) Long and Nicholas Long (Samantha), great-grandchildren Zachary, Alara, Brock, Luke, Carson, Rylan, Addison, Maisy and Lilly, sisters Shirley Marini, Patricia Cambest, sisters-in-law Marian Leake and Joan Sankey also many nieces, nephews, cousins and a life time of friends. Due to the current state mandates regarding COVID-19, there will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers, please feed the hungry or make a contribution to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation. Arrangements handled privately by the David J. Henney Funeral Home. www.davidhenneyfuneralhome.com
