Elizabeth P. (Sedlak) Taufer

Elizabeth P."Betty" Taufer (Sedlak), of Loris, SC, formerly of South Park, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, age 91, beloved wife of the late Stephen J. Taufer, loving mother of Margaret "Peggie" Bednar, Loris, SC, Tori Nyman (Ron), Cranberry Twp., PA, Daniel Taufer (Lisa), Venetia, PA, and David Taufer, Loris, SC, sister of the late John David Sedlak, grandmother of Brian Taufer (Shanice), Jared Bednar (Katelyn), James Taufer, Kira Taufer and the late Christine Bednar, great-grandmother of Sophia Taufer and Mathew Taufer also many nieces and nephews. Betty was a 1957 graduate of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, where she earned her diploma and became a Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital. Following a long and dedicated career in nursing, she retired from the South Hills Health System in 1997 to care for her grandchildren.
