Evelyn Meyer went into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, October 21, 2023. She lived a vibrant and active life until she fell and broke her hip on September 30, 2023. She was still driving (and not like an old lady either!) until she voluntarily stopped in May 2023. She loved to play bridge and belonged to several bridge clubs. She was a devout Christian and loved her church seldom missing a worship service and Sunday School. After church, she loved watching the Steelers often yelling at the TV when they made “stupid” mistakes or got a bad call. She was born Martha Evelyn Nelius on November 7, 1927, to parents Engel and Eva Nelius in Memphis, TN. In 1952 she married the love of her life, Walter Daniel Meyer. She absolutely loved her profession of being a Mom and housewife. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, in 2000 and her son Mark in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Engel and Albert as well as a grandson (son of Mark), Casey in 2021.She is survived by her son Lawrence Meyer (wife Linda) as well as her daughter Christine Stout (husband Ronald);
grandsons by Larry - Russell ( wife Sherry), and Robert; grandson by Mark - Jeffrey (wife Kristin); her great grandchildren are Russell's daughters, Rachel and Amelia; Jeffrey's children - Mark and Isabelle.
