It is with sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Gary Merrill McAnulty, 60, of Finleyville, PA, formerly of Bethel Park. Son of the late Ralph and Virginia McAnulty. Brother to Joy (the late Jim) Stewart, Janet (Timothy) Hamilton and Ron (Vickie) McAnulty. Father to Jason (Meghan) McAnulty, Jessa (Scott Jakell) McAnulty, Jannell McAnulty and the late Jodi McAnulty. Dotting grandfather to Kallie, Abel, Jeremiah, Lorraine, Conner and Chase. Long time employee of Printers USA, Gary was the most lovable, pain in the ass anyone would ever meet. He loved his family fiercely, especially his grandkids that could do no wrong. Easter egg hunts, cookouts or sleepover movie nights. He was not afraid to speak his mind to anyone around him. He made a name for himself in his town making sure he took care of those he cared for and making known those he didn’t. He will be missed by not only his family but countless around him. It was only as he grew tired he gave up his love for target practice, motorcycles, auto maintenance and fixing just about anything. He never gave up on Pittsburgh sports (even in their worst moments), day drinking (especially his vodka) or chasing that lottery, though. The brain was still ticking but the body just couldn’t keep up. Rest easy, dad, you gave a good fight and you can be at peace now. Visitation Friday 4-7 p.m. at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral costs. www.davidhenneyfuneralhome.com
