Harry R. Smith, of Bethel Park, on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, age 83, beloved husband for over 60 years of Carolyn H. Smith, loving father of Deborah Sweat (the late Michael), Harry R. Jr. (Nancy) & Darlene Lewis (Tom), brother of Rosemary Monich (Ronald), also 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Harry was a dedicated and active member of St. Joan of Arc Church, where he was a Eucharistic Minister, Sacristan and long-time faithful fish fry volunteer. Harry worked in St. Joan of Arc School and Church throughout our 58 years. He was president of the council and school board, treasurer for the men's club and little league coach for baseball and football until our son was in middle school. Harry even took T-ball to coach them all the way through with other coaches. Harry and Carolyn worked the Fish Fry from day one all year round (except when they were on cruises). They even won an award for making the most and best coleslaw. Harry was also a head usher for 17 years. He has belonged to the St. Joan of Arc Parish since October 1963. Harry was very sad when health problems turned up, as they always do. He was very proud of his dedication to the church and did not want to give up his time with St. Joan. Visitation Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library. Due to COVID restrictions, we ask that you wear a mask and practice social distancing. Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church.
