Obituary

James A Gmiter of Scott Twp., formerly of Mt. Lebanon, on Tuesday May 16, 2023, age 90.  Son of the late Joseph and Wanda Gmiter.  Dearly beloved husband for 64 years of Judith A. (Shemonitz) Gmiter.  Loving father of William Gmiter (Janice) and James Gmiter (the late Kim).  Brother of Susan Scheller (Russell), John Hlawka (Marge), and the late Patrick Gmiter, Mary Lou Melczak and Carol Veltre.  Loving grandfather of James (Quin) and two great children, Ryott and Atlas. He had many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was an alumnus of Youngstown University. James was retired from John Hancock Financial Services after 35 years, and served in the Navy from l955 - 1957.  James was a kind and loving man of great faith and will be missed by all who knew him. Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday May 24th, 10:00 am Resurrection Parish, St. John Capistran Church, 1610 McMillan Rd., Upper St. Clair, PA  15241.  Arrangements by David J.
