Joan E. Ankrom, of Finleyville, passed away peacefully at home on, Thursday, April 9, 2026, age 82, beloved wife of the late Albert C. Ankrom, Jr., loving mother of Thomas A. Simms IV, Nicole Helms (Anthony) and Shelly Ankrom (Tony Smith), sister of Dolores Spahr (the late Jack), Lana Bolitho and the late Alice Mathers (Ronald), Virginia Kaminski (Robert) and her twin Bernard "Buddy" Blank, sister-in-law of Carel Blank, grandmother of Cheyanne, Chloe and Colton and great grandmother of Easton and Evan, also many nieces and nephews. Joan loved horses, dogs and all animals. She liked playing bingo, cards and going to the casinos. Joan loved to bake and was known for her amazing chocolate chip cookies and strawberry pretzel salad. Visitation Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library, where a service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m.
