John W. Schubert

John W. Schubert, of South Park, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, age 90, beloved husband for 67 years of Nancy (Taggart) Schubert, loving father of Jonathan Lee Schubert, Daniel Jay Schubert, Jeanne M. Davis (Brian) and the late Heidi Ann, brother of Donald Schubert, and the late Fred Schubert and Jane Tidwell, grandfather of Jonathan (Christa), Holly Klingensmith (PJ), Heather Martin (Chase), Amiee Daugherty (Cameron), Brandon Davis (Abby), Eryn Slippy (Ian),and Natalie Schubert also 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. John was a member of Peters Creek Baptist Church for over 60 years and was on the "God Squad", taught Men's Sunday School and on the Board of Directors for Laurel Highlands Baptist Camp and served as camp manager for many years. He was a High School teacher for the Keystone Oaks School District. John enjoyed camping and traveling around the U.S. and Canada. He was a true handyman who enjoyed working on cars. Visitation Friday 4-8 p.m. at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library. A Funeral Service will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Peters Creek Baptist Church, 6300 Library Road, South Park, PA 15129. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
