Joseph Lawrence “Buz” Klutch passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born on September 1, 1933 in Carnegie, PA, son to John and Jean Klutch.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Clementine (Debnar) Klutch and sons Derek (Janene) Klutch, Brett (Tracy) Klutch, and Chad (Suzanne) Klutch. He is survived by 4 grandchildren, Tyler, Lindsey, Alexis, and Chase Klutch.
Buz served in the Army and was an Allegheny County police officer for over 40 years. He was proud to have served as a Motorcycle and Mounted Police officer for many prominent events throughout his career.
Buz loved playing golf, especially when he had the opportunity to play with his three sons. He also loved watching Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football games. In retirement, he enjoyed going on family vacations each summer, especially to Hilton Head Island. He was active in his faith and attended St. Valentine’s Church (Our Lady of Hope Parish) in Bethel Park.
Over 60 years of marriage blessed him with 3 sons of which he was very proud they attended college at Penn State University and had successful careers. He was excited to see his family grow with 3 daughters-in-law and 4 grandchildren. He absolutely adored his grandchildren, they brought a smile to his face every time they visited. He enjoyed watching Tyler play hockey, going to Lindsey’s dance recitals, going to Alexis’s swim meets, and watching Chase play baseball.
