Kathryn "Kathy" (Sorce) Fisher

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Kathy Sorce Fisher. Kathy passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7th, at the age of 76.

Kathy was preceded in death by her son Richard, and is survived by her loving family: Richard, her husband of 57 years, sister Peggy, sister-in-law Sue, aunt Anneliese, sons Keith and Scott, daughter-in-law Mara, and grandchildren Calleigh, Cavan, Reagan, Kyran and Yvo.

Kathy was born on July 29, 1948 in Pittsburgh, PA to Ross Paul and Margaret Mary Sorce. She graduated from Bethel Park High School in 1966. Kathy's passion was raising children - she started when she herself was a child, babysitting the neighborhood kids when she was just 10 years old.

Over the years, Kathy helped to raise a LOT of neighborhood kids:  Jeffrey, Leslie, Cara K., Scott, Erin, Alyssa, Melissa, Jaime, Kathryn, Robby, Teresa, Thomas, Timmy, Lauren, Ryan, Jason, Carly, Kara, Tyler, Max, Brandon, Emily, Katie, Josh, Calleigh, Cavan, Reagan, Max, Miles, Justin, and Allen.

Kathy was also an exquisite organizer - planning countless weddings, showers, graduations and birthdays. She made it look easy, and always managed to pull it off with creativity, style, and grace.

Kathy touched many lives and will be forever missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Benedict the Abbot Church (St. John XXIII Parish) on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 12:00 pm, to be followed by a burial at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 1:30 pm.
