Margaret R. "Peg" Amrhein

Margaret "Peg" Amrhein, of Bethel Park, passed away in her family home on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, age 92. Peg was born on February 15th, 1930 to Margaret and Darby Shields of Ireland. She was the beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Amrhein, loving mother of Colleen Hucko (Dave Hall), Shawn Amrhein, Laureen Kuntz (Donald "Butch"), Peggy Ann Clancy (Michael), Darby Amrhein (Cheryl Adams) and the late William Amrhein and Kevin Amrhein, sister of Kate Amann (the late Tom), Patsy Stack and the late Neil Shields, Darby Shields and Hughie Shields, sister-in-law of Helen Shields & Peggy Shields, grandmother of Tara Boyer, Bill Amrhein, Eric Vogelsberger, Baleena Vogelsberger, Mark Cuda, Tina Cuda, Kevin Amrhein, Bryce Clancy, Gavin Clancy and Miles Clancy, also 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Peg loved nothing more than to sit out on her back porch and take in the sights and sounds of her own beautiful backyard. She appreciated everything. She loved to laugh and always had a smile on her face. She was honest, hardworking, compassionate, smart, funny, humble, and good-hearted. Peg was always reading or writing about something. Her desire to learn new things and meet new people was never-ending. Visitation Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library.
