Mary Marguerite (Verno) Anderko

Mary Marguerite Anderko (née Verno), age 92 of Bruceton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 11, 2023. The beloved wife of the late William V. Anderko of 68 years, Mary is survived by her dear children, Maureen (Bruce) Beaver, William Jr. (Tricia), James (Gina), and Rosemary. She was the much adored grandmother of Matthew Beaver, Bridget (David) Lambl, William III, Lauren (Mike Blake), Nicholas, Sarah Grace and Michael McGaffic (Dorothy), sister of the late Jack Verno (Margaret), Kathleen Browning (Harry), Robert Verno (Helen & Genevieve), Jean Mattes (Robert), Charles Verno (Dolores) and James Verno. Mary graduated from the Mercy School of Nursing in 1951 and was a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital. She also worked as an RN at Jefferson Hills Manor. She was an active member of the Christian Mothers at St. Joan of Arc Church in Library and enjoyed playing cards and bowling. We loved her so very much and have incredibly wonderful memories of growing up in the home and family that she and her husband, Bill, created. Visitation Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library. Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church.
