Melvin T. Ford, of Revere, Fayette County, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, age 87, husband of Marva L. (Richardson) Ford, Sr., the proud father of Cynthia Yates (Ronald), Tracy Epperson (Edward II), Kelly Johnson (Walter), Diane Ford (Tyrone Germany), Jodi Jones (John), Marva Ford, Jr., and Kori Ford (Scott Drudy); grandfather of Jeanille, Brandon, Taysia, Brooke (Shaun), Robbie (Judy), Brendon (Katrina), Breann (Cortney), Brandi, Bre (Danielle), Alysee, Alea (Dante), Londyn, Edward III "Unca" (Tina), Jensine, Terron (Aluna), Perri (Brett), Yuri (Rico), and Parker; and the great-grandfather of Hailee, Shia, Ta’Haera, Izaac, Braiylon, Camdyn, Rylin, Warren “Buca”, Victoria, Sakei, Taelyn, Kaiden, Malachi, Lylah, Cortlyn, Justice, Tiller, Ari, Teyo, Aiya, Mila, Zyamara, Remi, Teddi, Dessalines, Keniah, Evie, Brelyhn, Psalm and Brooklyn; brother of Lora Jane Barnett, Joyce Lamar, Noel Williams, Michael "Mickey" Ford,Sr., (Marlene), and Deborah Ford; the loving uncle to a host of nieces and nephews and loved the rest of his family and friends.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents (Harry, Sr. and Naomi (Parker) Ford, Siblings: Harry "Buzzy" Ford Jr.,  William "Billy" Ford, Jacqueline "Jackie" Meggett, and James "Jimmy" Ford.

Melvin was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed McDonald’s coffee (6 sugars and 1 cream), shooting pool, cooking, baking sweet potato pies, joking, laughing, and watching tv. Most importantly he loved the Lord, his entire family and reading the Bible. 

On April 3, 2026, Melvin’s interment will be held at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with Full Military Honors. His family would like to invite you to his Celebration of Life immediately following the interment at a location to be determined.
