Nancy H. (Mineo) Fischer

Nancy Mineo Fischer, wife of the late Robert W. Fischer, Sr., daughter of the late Domenico Mineo and Rosario Macaluso Mineo passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 surrounded by her family. Nancy was born March 9, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was one of six children of Italian immigrants. Nancy married her sweetheart Robert W. Fischer, Sr. after meeting at Champion Stores. They remained married for more than 50 years. Nancy had a great passion for sewing, baking and planning social events for family and friends. She attended Cardiac Rehab at St. Clair Hospital where she made long lasting relationships. In her lifetime, Nancy made many friends but above all else, family meant the most. She loved spending time with her daughter, granddaughters and great grandsons. She was happiest when everyone would gather on Sunday afternoons for family dinners and the house was filled with joy and laughter. Nancy lived life to the fullest and leaves behind a legacy of charm, wit and generosity. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. She is preceded by her son, Robert W. Fischer, Jr. and leaves her daughter, Sandra Fischer Szolis (Chester). She was the loving grandmother to Julie Fischer Knight, Stephanie Szolis Hubstenberger, Lisa Fischer Radford and Christy Szolis. Additionally, she leaves behind five great grandchildren, Patrick and Alec Dady, Caitlyn Daniel, Hannah and Emma Knight.Due to current state mandates regarding COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 2403 Sidney Suite. Suite 230, Pittsburgh, PA 15203. Arrangements handled privately by the David J.
