Paul J. Ward, of South Park, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Friday, September 6, 2024, age 86, beloved husband for 64 years of Evelyn Mae (Schenk), loving father of Sherry Clayton (Michael Kopko), Scott (Suzanne) and Paul (Barbara), brother of Anna Marie Bochter (Harry) and the late Philip Ward, brother-in-law of Mary Lou Ward, Pappap of Kristin, Patrick, Jocelyn, Katie, Erin, Jeffrey, Nick and Camryn and Great Pappap of 6. Also beloved uncle, cousin and friend to many. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for Philip Morris USA for 30 years. Paul and Evelyn enjoyed a loving marriage and were true partners in life. He was a family man and a role model of family devotion and values. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy. Paul enjoyed a well-deserved retirement by gathering with family, game nights with family and friends, a snowbird in Florida, walking in South Park and going to the gym. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and was known for his gift of gab, sense of humor and passion for telling stories about his military service and nostalgic times growing up in Clairton. Visitation Monday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library, PA, where a Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society @donate.cancer.org.
