It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Raymond Fisher, known to all as Richie. Richie passed away unexpectedly in a tragic accident on June 5th, 2024 at the age of 50.
Richie is survived by his loving family: parents Richard and Kathy, aunts Peggy and Sue, brothers Keith and Scott, sister-in-law Mara, and nieces and nephews Calleigh, Cavan, Reagan, Kyran and Yvo.
Richie was born on June 13, 1973 in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from Bethel Park High School in 1991 and went on to study at Penn State University, earning a degree in Nursing. Richie then began a career in healthcare, first as a Nurse, then a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep., and later as a hospital liaison.
Richie was a fiercely competitive swimmer from the age of six, became co-captain of the high school swim team, competing in four State Championships, with the team nabbing two State victories.
Over the years, Richie became an accomplished cook, loved watching football and quirky movies, and was crazy about his nieces and nephews.
Richie was deeply thoughtful and kind to all those who knew him, and he will be forever missed.
Visitation will be held at David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Rd., South Park Twp., (Library), on Tuesday June 11, 2024 from 6-8pm, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Benedict the Abbot Church (St. John XXIII Parish) on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations for a memorial fund for Richie as an expression of sympathy.
