Richard C. Martin

Richard (Dick) C. Martin, of South Park (formerly of Bethel Park), passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 30, 2023, age 95, beloved husband for 70 years of Jeanne H. (Cromie) Martin, loving father of Richard Martin (Patty), Christine Alexander (Bill), Gary Martin (Deb), Lisa Hurst and Alan Martin (Joann), grandfather of Nicole, Craig Jr., Lindsay (Rick), Michael, Kyle (Brittany), Ross (Kate), Ethan and Haley, great-grandfather of Christian, Brenden and Jordyn. After graduating from Ambridge High School, Dick enlisted in the Navy where he was a Seaman First Class during WWII. He was a graduate of Penn State University. Following a career in sales with various companies, Dick opened his own business, Martin Office Supplies which operated out of Bethel Park. He had an interest in history and genealogy and upon retirement served as a docent at The Frick. Visitation Thursday 5-8 p.m. at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (Rt 88), Library, Pa. Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 8:30 a.m. in St. Valentine Church. Burial with Military Honors Friday at 10:00 a.m. in The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with Full Military Honors.
