Ruth A. (Kapphan) Varley

Ruth A. Varley, of Finleyville, PA, on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, age 92, beloved wife of the late Vincent V. Varley, loving mother of Sheryl Birch (the late Gary Birch) (Pete Fleck), Valerie Hamilton (the late Ed) (Michael Fox), grandmother of David Birch (Jodie), Jason Birch (Anita), Andrew Hamilton (Andrea Stack) and the late Amanda Hamilton, great-grandmother of Gavin, Alex, Sarah, Madison, Hailey, Ben, Marek, Sam, Adelaide and Oliver, 1 great-granddaughter Avery, also several nieces and nephews. Ruth was a graduate of Carrick High School class of 1949. After high school, she auditioned and was chosen for the Rockettes but had to decline because of family commitment. Ruth loved her Knoxville Christian Church where she developed her strong faith. "G.G." loved all her grandchildren. She taught line dancing thru CCAC until she was 85 years old. Visitation Friday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library, where a Funeral Service will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
