Sibyl A. Kappeler, of Canonsburg, formerly of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the age of 82.
Devoted wife of almost 59 years to Albert L. Kappeler, beloved mother of Lloyd (Amy) Kappeler and Laura (Joe) Ralyea, and cherished grandmother of Kyle, Luke, Kyra, and Chloe. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Helen Kappeler and Connie Kappeler, and was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Keith Kappeler. Loving aunt of Keith (Beth) Kappeler and Kristin (Brad) Rigby.
Born on October 6, 1942, Sibyl lived a life full of warmth, love, and compassion. She was the heart of her family, always putting others before herself and nurturing those around her with kindness and grace. She embraced her roles of mother and grandmother with an abundance of joy and pride, creating lasting memories and traditions that will forever be cherished. Known for her gentle spirit, sense of humor, strength, and generosity, Sibyl touched the lives of all who knew her. Her love, wisdom, and gentle presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered. She was a Past Matron of the Eastern Star Chapter #491 and also a long-time member and volunteer of Christ United Methodist Church. Visitation Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library, where there will be an Eastern Star service Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be Friday at noon at Christ United Methodist Church.
