Steven R. Derewicz, of South Park, formerly of Bethel Park, age 61, beloved father of Emilee & Steven Derewicz, loving son of Marlene & the late Donald Derewicz, brother of Carol Derewicz, Sue Derewicz, Ann Cristofano (Lee) and the late Theresa & Donald. Steve passed away suddenly and peacefully in the comfort of his own home last Saturday morning. The same home he shared with his mother whom he looked after and cared for. Known as Steve by his family and friends, he kept his company small but close. Family and tradition were atop of Steve’s values through his role as Father, Brother and Son. An avid Steeler fan, grill master, and fisherman Steve's enthusiasm for football and cuisine was infectious. These interests paired with drinks and stories were sources of many memories shared with loved ones. He was an iron worker at Minottes Manufacturing for decades; Steve took pride in his meticulous and challenging work. On the job site Steve was praised for his abilities and skill as a Brake Press Operator. Once retired, Steve enjoyed indulging in his favorite TV shows (Supernatural), movies (Lord of the Rings), and console games (Madden). Beyond accomplishments and interests, Steve will be remembered for his kind heart as a proud contributor to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital and active member in VFW Post 1940. Although he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will forever live on within our hearts. May Steve rest in peace. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or http://www.stjude.org. Arrangements handled privately by David J.
