Steven J. Mehaffey

Steven J. Mehaffey "Jake", of South Park, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026, age 79, beloved husband for 55 years of Diane P. (Cavalovitch), loving father of Jason, Dayna Lips (Richard) and the late Brian, grandfather of Alyssa Lips, Nathan Lips and Owen Mehaffey, also 1 grand dog "Rebel". Steve enjoyed golfing on Sundays and his annual golf outings in Myrtle Beach. As a teenager, Steve worked at Kiefner Beer Distributing in Brookline.  He worked at Sargent Electric and Broadway Maintenance Company installing and maintaining traffic lights. Steve was a member of the IBEW Local #126 and retired from South Park School District as a maintenance technician. Steve was proud of his grandchildren and enjoyed attending all of their activities. He was proud of his Irish Heritage and would like everyone to raise a glass in his honor on St. Patrick's Day. The family would like to thank the staff of Gallagher Hospice and Bridgeville Rehabilition and Care Center. Visitation Friday 2-6 p.m. at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library.
