Theresine "Tracey" Smith Obituary

Theresine (Tracey Tyman) Smith, of Doylestown PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Douglas Smith, loving mother of Brandon and Patrick and the devoted daughter to Robert Tyman and the late Patricia Tyman. She was a graduate of Bethel Park Senior High (’78), attended Duquesne University and the Sewickley Valley School of Nursing where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. She loved working as an Operating Room nurse for many years at Allegheny General, Brigham and Women’s and Doylestown Hospitals. Her passion was caring for and loving her family, especially her two sons. From attending every life and sporting event to sewing costumes, memory quilts and celebrating everyday experiences. She enjoyed playing with her two German Shepherds, traveling, being at the beach, going to concerts, sewing and anything “Pittsburgh” (especially the Penguins). She was the beloved high school sweetheart and “Secret” Cheerleader to her husband of 33 years. Friends and family will be received at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), South Park, PA 15219 on Sunday, September 8 from 4-8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 9, at St. Valentine’s Church in Bethel Park, PA (Our Lady of Hope Parish) followed by a Committal Ceremony @ 11:15 a.m. at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 2900 Washington Rd, McMurray, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a local SPCA or German Shepherd Rescue organization.
