Virginia L. "Ginny" Murphy (Carson), of South Park, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 4, 2023, age 82, beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Murphy, loving mother of Sharon Oliver (Greg), Jacquelyn Picozzi (Vince) and Beth Anselm (AJ), grandmother of Darryl Fisher, Michael Fisher (Holly), Vincent Picozzi, Joshua Picozzi (Laura), Lillia Anselm and Joseph Anselm. Great-grandmother "GiGi" of Michael Jr. and Breanne. Miss Ginny was a co-founder of Gram's Place in South Park where she loved and cared for many children in our community. She was a member of the Library Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and an avid bingo player. Ginny & Jack had a love of camping and they cherished memories with their family and friends around the campfire. Visitation Monday 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Bradley Center where children get the help they need to overcome trauma and rediscover hope.
