Virginia A. "Ginny" (Aiken) Silinskas

It is with deep sadness that we announce Virginia Ann Silinskas, 79, of South Park,  passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. 

Ginny is survived by her beloved husband, David and children Debbie (Scott) Crum, Michael (Tracy) Silinskas and Chrissy Miller. She is also survived by her grandchildren David (Chessa) Crum, Danny (Miranda) Crum, Megan (Alan) Lo, Zach Jason and Max Silinskas, and Alex and Sam Miller, as well as great grandchildren Violet, Ivy, Carson and Henry. 

With an open heart and a genuine smile, Ginny made friends wherever she went. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life, making each person feel like a friend. She found joy in the everyday and had a remarkable ability to lighten any situation with a joke or playful observation.

She took joy in beautiful things - flowers, colorful clothing, sparkly jewelry, bright lipstick. Crafting, making cards, and planting flowers and watching old movies were ways she loved to spend her time.  A devoted mother and grandmother, family meant everything to her, and it was what she was most proud of. 

Above all, Ginny's greatest devotion was to her beloved husband of 58 years, David. Long car rides, fishing on the lake and ballroom dancing were some of their favorite times together.  Their love story was a beautiful dance in itself – a partnership built on mutual respect, deep affection, and an abundance of shared laughter. She cherished every moment with him, and their bond was an inspiration to all who witnessed it. 

Visitation Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (RT 88), Library. Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church. A burial will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. www.davidhenneyfuneralhome.com
